Basic Obedience

Our general obedience program is aimed at those dogs without major behavioral issues but in need of some ‘good manners’ both inside and outside of the home.

- Basic commands:- sit, stay, wait & coming when called.
- How to walk nicely on the leash without pulling.
- No jumping
- Good food manners (including getting rid of begging)
- Good house manners (including not jumping on furniture and how to respect boundaries.)
- Guidance on nutrition
- Guidance on engaging your dog both mentally and physically.
- How to play nicely and be able to retrieve items they’ve run off with.
- Socializing the dog under various external and internal conditions
Puppy Training
Owning a puppy can be a very rewarding experience, however, it has the potential to become a frustrating experience for both you and the pup if they aren’t given the correct rules and boundaries to live by.
- Our boarding and training programs and one on one sessions will cover the below points:-
- Ensuring your home & garden are puppy proof.
- How to do/speed up house training/toilet training.
- Stopping unwanted nipping or mouthing.
- How to teach the puppy to stay separate from you and sleep quietly at night.
- General basic commands and how to communicate effectively.
- Keeping Puppy mentally and physically stimulated.
- Nutrition guidance: What foods are best for your puppy and which foods and plants to avoid.
- Preventative measures against chewing.
- Taking those first tentative steps outside into the world around them and how to socialize.
- Setting appropriate boundaries.
- Basic recall training (coming when called).
